On a beautiful summer Sunday morning, the Bailey family – Mom, Dad, Timothy, Sarah, and their beloved dog, Silly Sophie – enjoy family time over a big hearty breakfast. When Timothy and Sarah ask to be excused to play outside with Silly Sophie, Mom reminds them it is time to get ready for church. Of course, Timothy and Sarah would rather be doing other things, but Mom and Dad lovingly relay the importance of honoring God by going to church. As the day unfolds, Silly Sophie provides joy and laughter to the Bailey family.

Silly Sophie’s Summer Sunday Morning is a story written by Alexandra H. Sizemore and designed and illustrated by Cachet Petty, about faith, family, and – of course – Silly Sophie. Be sure to look for Silly Sophie’s paw prints throughout the book – each one leads to a bible verse!

The illustration and watercolor blooms in this series were created for custom event branding and invitation design firm, Southern Fried Paper, for a wedding invitation suite for fine art photographer, Charla Storey.

The watecolor blooms were created using watercolor paint, ox gall medium, ink, and carbon block on Arches 140 lb Hot Press Paper.

Venue drawing and map created with dip pen and ink on bristol support and converted to vector.

Calligraphy by Brown Eye Blue Eye.

The George W. Bush Presidential Center requested a series of hand painted illustrations for use in their holiday party invitation suite. The illustrations were created using dip pen and ink, acrylic, and charcoal on bristol support.

This series of illustrations is an example of another great collaboration with Southern Fried Paper.

Southern Fried Paper asked me to design and create several floral illustrations for a custom invitation suite and wedding decor.

The bride wanted the florals and pattern to represent her style and be a nod to several family heirlooms she inherited from her grandmother.

The illustrations include a floral pattern watercolor and acrylic panel, pen and ink, and vector drawings.
